Some of you just want to slag off Mido, yes he has dipped in form this season, short memories, he performed well for us last season. Defoe has also dipped in form of recent, not many of you slag him off, I'm sure once Mido will given more games and he will start to build up his confidence.

I don't think you can really compare Berbatov to Mido or Defoe, Berbatov is a class of his own.;)

Some people are never satisfied. There always has to be someone to have a go at.
If it isn't Mido, it will be Staltieri or Lee.
Mido wasn't bad today. He won most headers, he tackled back and was desperately unlucky not to score.
He is no Berbatov but he is a very important squad member.

agree with this, i only watched the highlights, but what i saw of him, he done ok.
i'm sure if he had more games under his belt, and a bit more confidence, he would have put the two main chances he had away.
maybe he'd have a bit more confidence if he knew we were behind him, and that he know's he's a valued member of the team.

he's last choice but we might aswell keep him for now. He did do brilliant last year so next year will be the test. Given the 60 or so games we've played this season its quite obvious Berbs could'nt play all those again next year so Mido will get a run out since we all know Keane and Defoe together can't do anything. However I would sell him given we get someone instead i.e. Darren Bent.

Be fair, Stalteri is rubbsih and is therefore fair game for slagging off.

Fair comment! ^
Mido's problem this year is he is the new Grzegorz Rasiak. Sir Dimitar has come along and now the standard is higher.
Mido is going and we'll get a better stand-by big man for when Berba needs a rest.
Oh god, I've heard Emile Heskey is up for sale... :(

Staltieri had a few nightmare games last season, where every mistake he made lead to a goal. This season, he came in as a bit part player and has done extremely well.
He is a good squad player and has shown good character to come into some difficult games and play the way he did.
Some players will always get slagged off despite of playing well, whilst others are given God status.
Jenas, Staltieri, Lee, Malbranque, Defoe and Mido all come in for it. Mostly unwarranted.
It is a squad game and unfortunately we are not in a situation where we can have 2 great players in every position. Stalts can do a job when called upon, and this season he has done well.

Yes, he has done very well in my preferred position for him - bench warmer

Short memories, Mido was ace last season, yes, he has not been so effective this season, however, he has had quite a few injuries to cope with.

Mido was pretty good last season. Whilst I'm not slagging him off, remember that the team who wanted him was Man City. Would one of the top 4 be so keen? If not, we need to be looking for a replacement.

I don't seem to understand your way of reasoning, it's seems you are very quick to decide when to change a player or players, did you ever consider the effect it can have on a team, it does take a while for them to gel in and that also can also effect the teams performance. Defoe did not do much for us last season, due to his injuries, but when some mentioned him being sold, it was like the legend of White Hart Lane could not leave. Mido, when fit and in form has proven to all of us that he can be an asset to the team and help us progress even further. Mido as Rdless correctly said is one of the players that supporters seem to pick on, same goes to JJ , getting most of the stick this season.

I'm not picking on him. I think he's OK, but I don't think he's good enough. Putting on a performance when he thinks he's being sold isn't good enough. Not when the likes of Bent are available.

Yean , but Defoe generally scores when he comes on.

So much for him being our top scorer this season. Defoe is a good striker, however, I think that he is over rated. May I also remind you that Mido did score quite a few last season as well. As to this season, he has missed quite a few games due to injuries.

I think it shows we really dont need Mido yes he scored 2 BIG goals in getting winner at home to hammers (actually gutted they stayed up) and of course giving us a chance in carling cup semi 2nd leg. However over the season I think it's fair to say he wasn't great and can't really seeing that change next year. Get in Bent instead I wouldnt complain about.
