I've tried to pm the reply but to no avail.

Copy the above into the www bar and read the bit about a true family stand.
Read between the lines why are they offering to keep your paxton price the same for one season ? Does that mean that all single ST holders like me will have no choice the following season ? and yes i'm peed off about it because we get slated at the paxton for not generating the same noise as the part timers in the park lane. Well we've been moved from pillar to post in the last few years when they originally put a new roof on the paxton and then rebuilt it a few years later. It takes time for everyone to get to know eachother which will not be helped by introducing a whole load of newbies every other week.
I dont have a problem with having a family section but a complete stand!!!! Make the family section the west stand lower which has the worst view of the whole stadium watching the lino and subs running up and down for 90 mins.
Failing that where's our 60k new stadium ? which would easily accomodate all .
Sorry for the rant

I totally agree with you ralph, as you now from my recent replies i as a single season ticket holder in the paxton have come to accept that you cant beat thfc on this, the whole stand thing for families is bollocks, what happens next season on a freezing winter night when its pissing down and little billy &johnny have got to go to school the next morning, the paxton wiill be half empty! only then will the bigwigs at thfc realise that by making a "true" family stand they'll lose income as well as alienating more "TRUE" fans sitting elswhere in the ground seeing that their old seat in the paxton is empty.

I understand where you are coming from regarding this matter but to be fair not every child that has to go to school during the midweek games are going to miss matches. My son & husband both have season tickets in the North Stand and have not missed a game yet. I do agree however that making ticket holders give up their seats for family's is not fair and that maybe they should think of having cheaper tickets for children in other parts of the ground as well.

hey mate - cheers for that - tried that link but came up as invalid! so still only understand 1/2 of the story - from what i gather the Paxton stand is to become an all family stand? so where do none family people go? seems a bit weird to me & ur right my dad & I have been going for years - we were shoved into the south stand for a season whilst paxton was being re-done - then into paxton lower then finally given our seat, which we have had for last 6 or 7 seasons i guess, block 52 row 14 - in line with penalty & halfway spot - its awesome. if this is to protect kids against bad language its pointless - there are kids who sit near me & i hear their dads swearing all the time! so if all the kids are put together surely the fathers who swear will have even more young ears around them? very strange & makes no sense.

I understand what your saying clare but as i understand your son & husband will be in the minority as saeson ticket holders in the paxton next season, Its the walk up fair weather supporters i was getting at, we have them as well you know but fortunatley not as many as other so called big clubs (roubles come to mind immediatley!).

well thats just fcuked up! stupidoo idea! where i sit we have kids, women, families - as well as mates sitting together - its cool - everyone gets on. why mix it all up?? leave it as it is - u want to attract more kids - drop your way over priced tickets! - heres an idea - let them have the directors box - the croonies in there arent proper fans anyway so instead of poking your noses into the real fans treasured seats - move out the people who are only in it for the mon£y!

Be fair, not all non season ticket holders are fair weather. I live in Yorkshire now and while I get to as many games as I can it just wouldn't be worth getting a season ticket - I get to more away ganes than home as they are easier for me to get to. But anyone I know would wet themselves laughing to hear me descriobed as fair weather (not that I recall too much fair weather in the last 25 years!!)

I think what Spurs are doing is a little excessive but i do understand. It is becoming increasingly apparent that support from youngsters is dwindling down.

This is partly because we are a little less fashionable than the other clubs. But i also feel that the current ticket system doesnt encourage support. Making kids pay full price unless its a so called "Family" match means there is significantly reduced support from kids and more of the supporters are from the older generation.

This will ultimately lead to the fewer fans in the future once we have passed on or retired.

So although we suffer now it is only for the benefit of the clubs future

Ohhh please.
I think it was Mr.B.Clough that said, kids should be playing the game not watching it.
That aside i want kids to go to football but not at the expense of everyone else. If there is a shortfall in supporters watching football at spurs i've yet to see it fashionable or not. If there's going to be a long term shortfall then a short term fix is not the answer. We need to compete with the others on and off the field. If we dont expand the stadium or move we are seriously gonna get left behind if we haven't already. Everybody else is going upwards why are we treading water ?

Here's the deal as i see it. In London every kid wants to be a chelscum fan because of the recent trophies but they can't get a ticket. They still wanna go to football.
Where do they turn to next ? Wet Spam? Charlton ? Fulham ? all of whom could get relegated this season.

Spurs is the next chioce a long stint in top flight and a decent history but you cant get a ticket for love nor money if they are doing wellish.

The best option has got to be the scum. A good recent history and a brand spanking new stadium. Premier game tickets are always hard to come by but goonersville has got to be the best bet.

Failing that they become Manc or Scouse fans as it's to far way to go to regularaly and they do have stadiums (scouse soon will have) big enough to be able to get tickets 2-3 times a season.

dwindling support?.
30.000 season ticket waiting list(chelski none)
2ND biggest members/ supporters club in the country.
dwindling support, i dont think so.
thfc along with most other clubs have noticed less children at the game, the reason for this is monumentally excessive ticket prices, if the where worried about dwindling support they would have done something about it 10 years ago when we were crap.

still cant believe this, its madness, fair enough if a part of the stadium was not full all the time - turn that part into a family area but to take one of the goal stands - which is normally always the most ardent fans & turf them out is stupid, whatever next...all the smokers getting a special smokers stand.

The smokers getting a smoking stand Matty.....what a great idea. In all seriousness I don't agree with turfing out existing season ticket holders for the sake of a whole stand being turned into a families only stand but I do think they should just reduce the ticket prices for children in all areas of the ground.

i agree with a lot of what you say, i have a son that comes with me to the games and we normally sit in the paxton, we like it as it is, not sure as a parent i want to be surrounded by a sea of children, love your own not too keen on everyone elses........if you know what i mean.

with regard to atmoshpere....my 7 year old never shuts up whilst we're there and i dont mean moaning but YID ARMY.......Martin Jols blue and white army....

come on spurs sort it out
