hey all, was just wondering if anyone had ever got chance to meet their favourite players? I have been lucky enough to met loads of players over the years, my best was probably Jurgen Klinsmann - he was so humble & signed all the autographs. Close second would be a joint partnership of Sir Les Ferdinand & Gary Mabbutt - both amazing players & such nice people of the pitch, then it would prob be Ginola, Sheringham & Anderton.

I was at the pre season game at Stevenage & couldnt believe my luck when Jol walked right in front of me, so I grabbed my phone & managed to get a photo with him - see atttached (excuse my hair - took cap off for the photo!) so yeh tell us about meeting your favourite player & if you have got photos try & attach them - altho you may have to trim them because the site doesnt like too big an attachment.

I met Eric Thorsvedt at the spurs ticket office and shook Bill Nicks hand in the spurs shop the day we signed Jamie Rednapp.

Also i've played against Mark Kendall in the Spurs ball courts @ WHL and Scored goal's @ Paxton and Park lane goals and briefly spoken to Keith Burkinshaw

No, but I was 'lucky' enough to meet Ian Wright a few years back when he opened a pub I was working in. What a numpty.
BTW, If I ever meet Robbie Keane or Teddy Sheringham it may be the last time anyone else sees them as I fear I would be forced to kidnap and abuse them in a number of interesting ways.

Met most of the team after Saturday's game at Middlesbrough. I asked JJ if he could perhaps score 2 against the scum next time; Robbie Keane if he'd play for my 5-a-side team; and told BMJ that we love him. MJ game me a playful clip aroud the ear - all great lads.

Zokora and Huddlestone were the only players that didn't come across to speak to the fans - BOOO! The 'tov couldn't sign any autographs because his hand was bandaged up, but at least he acknowledged us.

I always wait around for Clive Allen - total quality; how many people can say that they scored 49 goals in one season? Stick that up your Ars*nal Terry Henry (35)...

Was lucky enough to stay in the hotel next to the team in Graga. Jol brought all the players out to meet us. Jol himself was a real gentleman. The team if I am honest were pretty un-freindly and obviously didn't want to be there

I've met quite a few over the years, Mabbsy is one of the loveliest guys in the world, loads of time for everyone. Went to the Lineker Hall of Fame dinner the other year - he used to be my hero, but he wasn't very patient or friendly to the fans, bit of a disappointment.

In the 1960s Pat Jennings used to have his clothes made at John Colliers in tottenham High Road where my mum worked as a cashier.I went in one day as I new he was going to be in the shop and he autographed my 1967 spurs v chelsea fa cup final programme.a great memory for a 9 year old and i still have the programme

I've met Lots of Spurs Players down the years, but will always regret never meeting Bill Nick. I spoke to Pat Jennings, Phil Beal, Ralph Coates and John Pratt in one of the lounges at a Match and they were on their way to another lounge to give Bill Nick a Presentation as that was his 80th Birthday. I hoped that they might have brought him into our lounge but it wasn't to be. On the Plus side, I have met Teddy Sheringham numerous occasions and have the photos to prove it somewhere. My daughter ran onto the heavenly turf as mascot 3 years ago holding the hand of her hero (Bless her) Robbie Keane. As we are Irish, we got to meet Robbie again 2 weeks later so that he could autograph the photos taken. The team are playing in Dublin next Thursday, so I will try to meet players, if I can.

I met Bill Nicholson twice.

I took my son on the White Hart Lane tour. Whilst we were sitting in the reception with a couple of the youth team players, the big man came in, he walked over and spoke to them and us. My son was only 7 at the time and Bill singled him out and told him that if he wanted to be a Spurs player he would have to work hard and be dedicated "like these lads".

As he left, they all said what a great man he was and that he always had time for them.

Prior to that, I saw him after the 1987 Cup Final and shook his hand. He had such an aura about him. Everyone was so respectful of him.

Luckier Than Me Sod !!!!!!

Back in the day, I met Alan Gilzean. It was probably one of the most embarrassing days of my youth. We went to a restaurant in Winchmore Hill with family friends. I was barely 15. Gilly was in there with his family and my cousin pointed him out to me. Although he had retired by then, he was one of the greats and commanded a great respect. Towards the end of our meal I'd plucked up enough courage to go over and ask for his autograph. He was very pleasant and signed my menu, but I hadn't banked on my dad following me over. He'd had a few too many wines and began to speak to one of my all time hero's in Greek! I made my apologies and dragged him away (red faced). To say I got the hump with him would be putting it mildly, but we do laugh about it now.

My dad was a big pal of his. Whilst Playing for Spurs he used to turn up at my house about 2am drunk and screaming down the whole street and then drive off again after chatting to my dad. I used to get well annoyed with him as he always woke me up and i had school the next day.

I've met Teemu Tainio twice. The first time was about two years ago in Helsinki Airport. He was returning from international duties and I asked him to be photographed with me. The second time was about seven weeks ago. The Finnish national team had an open-to-public training. I was the only one there asking for an autograhp (and there were Hyypiä, Litmanen, Jääskeläinen and Forsell training there, too). But now I've got Teemu's autograph on my Spurs shirt :) .

Also met Micheal Brown at a mates birthday party earlier this year. Ironically just after we done Fulham in the cup.

I've been very lucky as I've met almost everyone from the current squad plus about 15 form previous squads.

Martin Jol is, by far, the nicest one though! Berbatov was lovely too as was King and Dawson. I live near some of the players and I've met Dawson is my local Italian, seen Keano driving down the road and met Les Ferdinand as he loved (not sure if he still does) up the road from me.

For those who've met Bill Nic, that's pretty amazing I have to say!

I went to Justin Edinburgh's testimonial at Pompey a fews ago. If any of you have been to Fratton, you'll know the coaches have to drop them off in the street! David Ginola was standing in front of me, signing autographs and I couldn't get his attention.

I said "S'il vous plait, David" and he turned round and signed my programme.
