i take it you're putting 'senior member' as your signature 'cos it says junior member by your name.
that means that you are newish to the forum, when you have posted a certain amount of times, that junior member will change to 'member' and the a further amount of times, it'll change to 'senior member'

Am I the only one???? But I think that all the new designs are crap!
The first kit merely takes up the design of last year but with a far uglier v-neck. The second kit isn't even really Tottenham-blue and don't even get me started on the red logo and the chinese lettering.... yuk! Finally, the anniversary kit is the greatest laugh of all. Half white, half coventry city??? are we all kidding ourselves?

The new neckline is much more flattering to anyone without a footballers body and virtually a replica of the 60-61 season. The new 4th kit comes from our 1885 colours. What's your problem with our great history? It could be far worse- our original shirt was red!

I thought our origanal colours where chocolate& cream 1/2&1/2 like the aniversary top!. every thing i've ever seen on the beginning of the club when it started in northumberland park seems to tell me that,
red,......red, are you sure!.

No, the chocolate was later, about 87 I think. e didn't wear while until we nicked it from Preston North End after they won the league!

if you want to see the kits through the years go to the following:
http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Tottenham_Hotspur/Tottenham_Hotspur.htm
the blue and white strip was apparently in recognition of blackburns achievement at winning the cup for the first three years.....go figure.

exactly, better to have the blue/white than the red one... still, for lads with footballer's bodies, let alone footballers, v-neck's just look very feminine. - you're invited to check on how many of our lads wore a white shirt under their kit against City!
and what about the Chinese lettering? any opinions on that? It remembers me of Everton a couple of season's ago... don't like it.

I think we should've gone for the red one for fun!!! as most Spurs fans don't know we used to play in red and navy! tho you'd think they'd've gone for the original kit as it is the anniversary.

I just think its funny that so many people are so anti-red (over the logos of Thomson and Mansion) without realising we wore a red shirt for 6 years way back - in fact, looking on the website link with all the shirts over the years, the red one was worn the most before we changed to our navy & white.....
I don't buy shirts any more, they are too expensive, especially as we only wear them for one season - I have many Spurs t-shirts tho, and would rather spend the extra cash on more away games.

We have never worn red as a professional side. Strictly amateur. We have only won with the blue and white.
Harp on about the red lettering in our sponsorship but we havent won anything with red on our kit. What does that tell you?
glenspurs1188
22-05-2007, 02:15 PM
it doesnt really matter does it? the time spurs wore red was before any living human being was born. at the end of the day, the club get a lot of money from the sponsors, so they're not gonna change their logo just because a small selection of fans are petty and think they sound like a hardcore supporter by being anti red. it's not the colours fault!

Typical tory response!!!
Dont matter what colour and what they sell as long as we get the money. Well I say stuff that!!
I may not be a hard core fan but i have morals as most fans do. And if i didnt i'd be an Arsenal fan.
I dont like the Sponsorship deal, I dont like what they sell, their logo, and all the rubbish associated with it. And now we have Chinese on our shirts.
WAKE UP you lot we are nothing more than walking billboards.

i mist admit that i dont like our sponsors either. when we first agreed the deal with them, i didnt like the idea of being sponsored by an internet gambling site.
BRING BACK THE HOLSTEN!!

Its not the gambling logo or the beer logo on the shirts,

Its just abit of Red on the shirt dont see any problem with it at all
We get 30m over 5 years for that Mansion Deal
if that means better players coming into WHL and a Better Ground does abit of Red really matter
You tell me

yes it "*^$ing does, its because that shite up the road play in red, our colours traditionally are blue& white since we;ve been a proffessional team. never in the modern era have we had &%£*ing red anywhere near our shirts.
one of our nicknames is the lillywhites, we have a clothing range"never red", we sing mj's blue& white army, it may mean nothing to you but to me it taints the shirt.

stop the bickering you kids.
Dspurs ... Despite the fact we got £30m and with the new tv revenue it still doesnt stop spurs putting up their ticket prices and Charging £55 quid for a shirt.
TBT is right in not buying the kits. Why should we? We all love Spurs and dont need the shirt to prove it.
What really annoys me is the mansion LOGO is more dominent than the cockeral and that is not on.

agree about the logo - strange how much bigger it is than cockrel - but i suppose its what they pay all the money for. never understood the whole red thing - we WORE red - dont give 2 monkeys if it was years ago - your all sayin about our heritage but denying the red shirt cos it was years ago, my prime concern is the team & how we build goin forward - arsen@l have white on their shirt - do u really think they sit there going on about that - nope. none of you red haters have england shirts i gather - because of the red cross? I must admit iv always said il never own a red car because of that reason - but having a bit of red on the spurs shirt? cmon.
p.s. we never win with red? well 1991 FA cup final - id put money on the fact that the 2 lions adorning the cockrel on that shirt - were red.
