Just in case anyone is interested, Joe Calzaghe has just won the Welsh sports personality of 2007.

I can't think of anyone else it should have gone to. What a great champion.

i dont know very much about the lad cos its a sport i dont really follow. but ive heard he's good and im sure he deserves it

tell you what tom.. calzaghe is one of the greatest fighters for great britain in a long long time... he fights with a passion.... something our players cant do on the pitch too often.

About time he won the BBC sports personality of 2007, should have had it last year but with his latest win it's fitting he should have it this time round.

And a note for tbt; Dolly the sheep did attend last weeks Welsh sports personality......and won best supporting player of the year. She was made up Ewe should have seen her...:D :rolleyes:

great repost alan!!!:D , did say to you earlier in the year calzaghe was a good outside bet for s.p.o.t.y.
as a huge fight fan myself i was really pleased to see the lad win it!, at last boxings back big time!!! ( thanks to the ufc) giving it a run for its money has made the promoters and authorities make the fights that us fans want to see!.

after watching the program and seeing what calzaghe has achieved, i voted for him. but to be honest, other than hatton, the rest of the contenders didnt deserve to win like that athelete who has recently come back from a drugs ban??:confused:
