Default Gareth Bale's move to Tottenham Hotspur has been sealed, - 25-05-2007, 05:54 PM

BBC Sport Wales understands that Gareth Bale's move to Tottenham Hotspur has been sealed, although no official announcement has yet been made.

I know we have been waiting along time but an announcement will be made soon.

Its just been announced. Quality news.

And it is very refreshing to see spurs sign a player when united and arsenal are in the hunt.

Just hope Lee stays though. he had a great season, unfortunate to get injured, but showed a lot of people that he can do the job.

We will have some problems if everybody is fit, with Bale, Lee, and Akotto, if they all stay, and what about in the middle, Kaoubal(if he comes) King, dawson, Rocha, Gardner, all fighting for two spots. 5 into 2 don't go. Someone is on their way, I would think Gardner will be sacrificed. As will Akotto for the right price.

Great signing for us, if this guy keeps improving we will have one hell of a player on our hands, and its a terrific sign from the board that we are now competing with the big boys again.

competition for places is exactly what we need, hopoefully the first with a couple more top quality signings to come.
THE SLEEPING GIANT IS NOW WIDE AWAKE.
roll on next season.

Totally agree traciebigtits, the more competition for a place should show much more determination on the field.

Default Quality Bale - 25-05-2007, 09:55 PM

Quality signing and cheap at the price. One of my best mates supports the Saints and he reckons we have got a bargain.

Well done BMJ

Excellent news! Big MJ is the man that can turn Bale into a class act.
On top of everything else I'm glad we've got someone who can take a decent set piece. Something we've been missing for a few years. This season Robbo scored more direct free-kicks than Jenas

Maybe JJ did not score many from set pieces, however, he is still our midfield top scorer.
